•
Dear Members and Friends of the European Federation of Older Persons!
As you know, EURAG is the longest existing transnational civil society organisation of and for older persons in Europe, created in 1962 by foresighted and highly committed personalities who had the vision of a society in which older persons were not marginalised but fully recognised for their lives’ achievements and adequately cared for.
At that time, 53 years ago, they had even not yet faxes and certainly no computers to correspond by e-mails or exchange information by other electronic means. Communication was mainly achieved by letters and by printed information bulletins sent via time-consuming snail-mail. In the meantime also an organisation like EURAG can benefit from the advantages of the Internet and we already had our own website.
But as time flies and as communication technologies become more and more sophisticated we decided to create a totally new EURAG website that we are proud to present to you today. We hope that you find it interesting and attractive. Please use it extensively - not only for your own information but also to share news from your organisation with the members and friends of the EURAG network. We would be happy to receive reactions from you with suggestions on how to further develop the website so that it can best match your needs and expectations.
